The Columbia Fireflies will be bringing their season to a close September 14-19th, and they encourage you to come out to one of their final home games. There are several promotions, giveaways, and theme nights to look forward to throughout the week, so grab your baseball cap and support Columbia’s own minor league baseball team. The Fireflies will be playing The Kannapolis Cannon Ballers all week with a home field advantage.
Tuesday 9/14 - First pitch at 7:05pm
What goes together better than a Miller Lite and a hot dog? On Miller Lite $2 Tuesday, fans can grab a 12oz Miller Lite can, popcorn, hot dog, or fountain soda for just $2 per item. What a steal! This game is presented by Three Rivers Behavioral Health.
Wednesday 9/15 - First Pitch at 7:05pm
Trash the Poop Wag-Along Wednesday means furry friends are welcome at Segra Park. Who says pets can’t be baseball fans too? Visitors can bring their dogs to the game, and 16oz White Claw seltzers will be just $5 each. Wednesday’s game is presented by Prisma Health.
Thursday 9/16 - First Pitch at 7:05pm
Thursday is the halfway mark to St. Patrick’s Day, which calls for a celebration. St. Pat's at Segra Park presented by AMAROK will include Budweiser’s Thirsty Thursday specials with half-priced draft beer and fountain sodas, $2 bud light pints, and call it the luck of the Irish-- but you can expect a whole lot of green beer.
Friday 9/17 - First Pitch at 7:05pm
Whether you’re a Dead Head or not, Friday’s Grateful Dead Night has something for everyone. Fireflies will be giving away Grateful Dead t-shirts to the first 1,000 fans in Segra Park. Fans can jam out at a pre-game concert by local Grateful Dead cover band, Stillhouse. Players will be wearing Grateful Dead themed jerseys that will be up for auction throughout the game. If you love Soda City, shop local at Shakedown Street Vendors-- a vendor area that will be in place during the game. If you’re feeling like giving back, Blood Connection Mobile Bus will also be parked outside of Segra Park from 3-8:30pm to take blood donations.
Saturday 9/18 - First pitch at 6:35pm
Calling all Harry Potter/ wizardry fans-- bring your wands, spells, and top hats and join us for a magical Wands and Wizards Night night at Segra Park, presented by Blanchard Machinery. Stick around for a spectacular post-game firework show.
Sunday 9/19 - First Pitch at 5:05pm
It’s time to bid a great season adieu at Sunday’s season finale. There will be a Fireflies Antique Tin Sign Giveaway to the first 1,000 fans, and bring your kiddos along for the post-game Kids Run the Bases presented by Flight Adventure Park.
If you haven’t caught a Fireflies game yet this season or just want to enjoy some good old fashioned baseball, our final homestand is the week to get out and enjoy a ball game. The Columbia Fireflies can’t wait to see you storm the stands.
